Extensively re-developed in time for use in the 2000 Olympic Football competition, Hindmarsh Stadium is Adelaide's premier soccer venue. With 15,000 seats, 4 world class light towers and its proximity to public transport it is regarded as the best small soccer specific stadium in Australia, though it does play host to other sports in rugby union and rugby league. Home to Adelaide United FC of the Australian A-League.
