Deepdale is the home of Preston North End, and is one of the oldest football stadiums in the world. The first game was held at the stadium in 1875. The stadium has recently undergone major refurbishment with three of its four stands being completely redeveloped. There are also plans to rebuild the fourth stand which is known as the pavillion stand. When completed the stadium will have a capacity of around 30,000 spectators.

The record attendance at deepdale was 42,684, this was on 23rd April 1948 during a Division 1 game agains Arsenal.
