Highbury, the home of Arsenal FC is one of the most famous and history rich stadiums in the world. Arsenal, however are going to move out of their spiritual home to Ashburton Grove which is a stones throw away from Highbury.

Unlike most condemmed grounds, Highbury will not be completely demolished, this is because the East and West stands running along either side of the pitch are listed buildings. These two stands will be renovated into houses. The plans, which are on the official Arsenal web site look pretty fantastic, it's a pity they haven't done this with other stadiums that have been recently torn down. The pitch will be used as a communal garden for the residents of the new stadium. The property prices for these new houses are expected to be extremely high.
