Информация О Saffron Lane Velodrome, Leicester

Saffron Lane Velodrome was built in 1978, boasts a capacity of 3100 and has a International-Standard 333 metre woodern surface with 37 degrees banking. It hosted the first International cycling championship that was held in England.

The velodrome also has an all weather pitch within the middle of it that has been used for numerous sporting events. The areana was also the home of Leicester Panthers who played American Football (Gridiron) on the surface.

Saffron Lane is approximately 2 miles away form the city centre.

Fom the M1/M69 J21:
Take the southern ring road until you reach a roundabout with 6 exits (known as pork pie roundabout, it should be the first roundabout you come to after passing Fosse Park. Saffron Lane is the second exit, the Velodrome is approximately 1 1/2 miles along this road and will be visible on your right.
