Stamford Bridge, home to Chelsea FC since 1905 was opened in 1877 in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea and has be completely redeveloped in recent years. It is a long way from the 'oval shaped' Stamford Bridge of old and no longer has a running track around its perimeter.

The new Stamford Bridge has its stands a lot closer to the pitch - shaped around the pitch and is now all seater and fully roofed in fact the stadium is completely unrecognisable to how it was in the Early 1990's. Only the 'East Stand' now remains. In total the developments that were completed in 2001 cost in excess of �100m to complete.

The stadium has a great number of facilities including 5 resturants, two hotels and a leisure centre with 25m swimming pool and suspended running track

The record attendance at Stamford Bridge was 82,905 at a local derby against rivals Arsenal during a Division 1 on October 10th 1935.

There are approximately 3000 seats for away fans, they are situated in the Shed End. The view of the pitch is very good.
