Stadio Artemio Franchi is a football stadium in Florence, Italy and named after a famous Italian footballer. It is currently the home of ACF Fiorentina and holds a total of 46,864 spectators. The stadium was originally buit in 1931 however has undergone renovations, most recently in 1990 for the 1990 FIFA World Cup (Italia '90) that was hosted in Italy when the athletics trackn was removed and the seating capacity was increassed. The official record attendance was set at 58,271 on the 25th November 1984, during a Serie A match between Fiorentina and Inter Milan. A unique feature of the stadium is a 70m concrete flag tower which sits opposite the main stand. Stadio Artemio Franchi
