Eden Park is the main sports ground in Auckland, New Zealand for both rugby union during winter, and cricket in summer. To accommodate both sports, the cricket pitch is removable. The ground is located three kilometres southwest of Auckland's CBD, straddling the boundary between the Kingsland and Mt. Eden suburbs.
The Eden Park area has been in use for sports since around 1900. Eden Park has been the home to Auckland Cricket since 1910, and also hosts international Test and One-Day cricket.
The ground has also been the home of the Auckland Rugby Football Union since 1925, hosting Auckland premier's home games in the NPC and the Air New Zealand Cup, as well as the Blues in Super 14, and international test rugby. It hosted the final match of the Rugby World Cup in 1987.
It is scheduled to be the focal point of the 2011 Rugby World Cup, with the opening ceremony, first pool game, and the grand final taking place at Eden Park, as well as numerous other pool and knockout games

There is a number of pubs and bars located in the centre of Kingsland, by crossing Sandringham Rd and walking through the metro station.
Like other New Zealand stadiums, there is no separation between home and away fans. However, tickets may sometimes be sold to differing fans support to allow for sections of same fans, and in International Test Rugby, a "sea of black" All Blacks fans in the ASB Stand.
Usual rugby food such as hot dogs, burgers, hot chips, soft drinks, and beer is available throughout the venue at extraordinarily high prices ($5.30 for a hot dog!). There are a number of bars located around the stadium also, serving Dominion Breweries beverages such as Tui Ale and Export Gold Lager, to name but two.
Typically $4.00.
Varies between rugby and cricket, and from game to game, section to section.
Located on the block between Walters Rd, Cricket Ave, Reimers Ave, and Sandringham Rd in Kingsland, Auckland. Driving to any match is not recommended as there is a local law allowing only residents of surrounding houses to park in the local streets. Kingsland station on the metro is right outside the stadium, and usually football specials are on for the rugby, and in summer normal trains can be taken to the cricket. Visit maxx.co.nz for details on trains and schedules.
