Dixon Park is the home of soccer team Ballyclare Comrades, who were formed in late February 1919, by soldiers returning from the first world war.The Ballyclare team consisted mostly of veteran soldiers, from "C" Company of the 12th Irish Rifles, all men who lived in the East Antrim area.Dixon Park is located in the market town of Ballyclare, in County Antrim, 10 km (6 miles) west of Carrickfergus.The stadium has the capacity of 4,000, with a small seated stand on one side, where the offices and changing rooms are sited.There are covered standing areas around the other parts of the ground.

The Comrades Social Club located right beside the ground is open to visitors.

From the M2 take the Ballyclare/Templepatrick turn off to the A57. Follow the A57 to the Ballyclare turn off.Carry on until you come to a roundabout and turn left up the main street.Go throuh the one way system and turn left after the town hall, into the Harrier Way car park, at the Comrades Social Club.The car park is in front of the stadium and costs 30 pence a hour, 8 am to 6 pm.
