Kimberley Stadium is being built from scratch to host soccer matches in the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals.The stadium is to be built in the city of Kimberley, Cape Province, in Central South Africa, famous for 83.5 carat diamond the Star of Africa, which was unearthed in Kimberley.The stadium site is next to a disused railway siding, which will be transformed into a new Station in time for the World Cup.Kimberley Stadium is due to open in May, 2007.
