Almost accross the road from Privilege. The house in which Amnesia is now located was built at the end of the 18th century. Sold to an aristocratic and artistic widow in the 70s it became a home to hippies who played in bands & danced while experimenting with LSD. In 1976 the new tenent Antonio Escohotado turned the house into a disco and Amnesia was born. Argentine Alfredo Fiorito wowed Paul Oakenfold, Danny Rampling and others in the summer of '88 and let flow a torrent of mass tourism which continues to this day. The club comprises of two areas, the terrace is a huge greenhouse with palm trees, bars and air conditioned VIP section. The main room is dark and has massive ice cannons to cool the room which when fired at regular intervals overwelm the room with a ice mist. The club hosts a range of different parties, the biggest night being Liverpool based dance club Cream on thursday nights thoughout the summer season.
