Estadio Anoeta is home to Spanish club Real Sociedad, the stadium holds a total of 32,000 spectators and was built in 1993. The stadium mostly hosts football matches but can also be used for athletics - it has a 6 lane synthetic track. A few Heineken Cup Rugby games have also been hosted here with near by French side Biarritz Olympique playing there as their ground has insufficient capacity for big games.
