The Boston Garden was opened on November 17, 1928, and demolished in November 1997.During the 69 years the stadium was opened, it was the home of Boston Bruins (NHL) 1928-1995, Boston Celtic (NBA) 1946-1995, New England Whalers (WHA) and the Boston Braves. The Celtics won 16 NBA Championships while playing there. The Bruins won 5 Stanley Cups. Apart from the cramped seats, the obstructed views, the rodents running about the corridors, it was an absolutely fantastic place to watch a hockey game! To sit in the second level, almost overhanging the ice! There was no better place! Oh the Noise!
