Neyland Stadium is located in the city of Knoxville, East Tennessee, on the Tennessee River.The stadium was opened in March 1921, and was called Shields-Watkins Field.The stadium changed it's name to Neylands stadium in 1962, this was to honour Genral Robert R Neyland, who was head coach from 1926-1952, and athletics director until his death in 1962. The stadium is the home ground of american football team Tennessee Volunteers.The record attendance at the stadium is currently 109,061, this was on September 16, 2004, when Tennessee met and beat Florida 30-28.
