Opening in 1995, the TD Banknorth Garden cost a total of $160m to build (~£100) and was designed by Ellerbe Becket, Inc. of Kansas City, MO. The stadium has 104 executive seats and a full capacity of 19,580. The stadium stands 49 metres high (162 feet) which is comparible to a 10 floor building
Both the Boston Celtics and the Boston Bruins host their Competitive NCAA and NHL matches respectively
The TD Banknorth Garden plays host to a number of different events, from basketball, to ice hockey to live music events. It has different capacities for each type of event dur to the setup of the arena, these are as following

- Ice Hockey: 17,565
- Maximum Capacity: 19,580
Below the stands is a 5 teir carpark holding approximately 1,150 spaces

Subway: The nearest Subway station is North Station
From the North:
Take Interstate 93S to Exit 26A/Leverett Circle; Cambridge. Follow the signs towards North Station. Turn right at the end of the ramp
From Eastern New Hampshire & North-Eastern MASS.:
Take Interstate 95S to Route 1 S. Follow Route 1 across the Tobin Bridge and follow signs for Storrow Drive/Cambridge. Stay right to exit at Nashua Street and follow signs for North Station.
From the South:
Take Interstate 95N to Interstate 93N to Boston. Enter 93 N Tunnel. Take Exit 26/Storrow Drive. After exiting, stay in the left lane and follow signs for North Station. Make a right at the next set of lights onto Nashua Street. Follow Nashua Street until the end and make a left at the lights.
From the West:
Take Mass Pike East to Interstate 93N to Boston. Enter 93 N Tunnel. Take Exit 26/Storrow Drive. After exiting, stay in the left lane and follow signs for North Station. Make a right at the next set of lights onto Nashua Street. Follow Nashua Street until the end and make a left at the lights. The FleetCenter will be on your left.
